T-SATELLITE · STARLINK

AI over T-Mobile T-Satellite

T-Satellite with Starlink connects a regular phone straight to satellites when no cell tower is in reach. It sends ordinary texts, so it reaches +1 (209) 379-8911 like any number, and an AI assistant texts back a short answer.

What you need

How it works

  1. Save the number now, while you still have signal.
  2. Send your first message from home. It signs you up, and the welcome text arrives over the regular network instead of over satellite.
  3. Out of range, open the Messages app you always use. When there's no cell signal, your phone switches to the satellite on its own.
  4. Text your question to +1 (209) 379-8911. The answer comes back to the same thread.
You → No filter, only creek water. How do I make it safe?
NoService AI → Strain silt through a bandana, then boil: 1 full minute at a rolling boil, 3 minutes above 6,500 ft. Let it cool covered.

For anything life-threatening, contact 911 first. We answer questions and can't send anyone to you.

FAQ

Do I need to be a T-Mobile customer?

No. T-Mobile sells T-Satellite to customers of other US carriers too. Which plans include it and what it costs is up to T-Mobile.

Is this Starlink internet?

No. Your phone connects to Starlink satellites directly for texting. There's no dish and nothing extra to carry.

Which phones work?

Many recent iPhone, Pixel, Galaxy and Motorola models. T-Mobile keeps the current list. If your phone can send a text over T-Satellite, it can reach us.

How long does an answer take?

Our reply is usually ready in under a minute after your message reaches us. Delivery over satellite can be slower than through a cell tower, so give it a few minutes before sending again.

What does it cost?

On our side: first 3 questions free, then $15 for 100 messages or $7.99/mo unlimited, and first aid questions are always free. T-Mobile bills its satellite service separately. Most answers fit a single 160-character text, and a long one arrives as two or three. A credit is spent only when an answer reaches you.

Can I test it before the trip?

Yes. Airplane mode won't do it, since it turns satellite off too. Go outside somewhere with no signal at all and text us.

Set it up while you have bars

Save the number and send one question while you still have signal. Then try it once outside, somewhere with no signal at all.
